That's all

Make your own hummingbird feeders
A little early this year - I usually only see them in August. Hummingbird food can be easily made by hand - get a nalgene bottle and fill it to the 32oz mark with warm water, then add a cup of sugar. Keep it in the fridge. Your feeder will need to be changed every two to three days - make sure you scrub it each time you change the water. Also, check near your feeder for orb weavers and praying mantises, they both will eat hummingbirds if given the chance. “Thank you for contacting the Indiana Division of Fish & Wildlife. Yes, just to be on the safe side you should put bird feeders away, including hummingbird feeders and empty bird baths. We are trying to keep birds from congregating until we know what is happening to the birds. Let us know if you need anything further.”
